I’ve heard “It’s not important what you ride in the water, what matters is that you have fun.”  That’s the whole point, right? I mean, for me, obviously I am not in the water to win a competition of any sort.  I’m in the water to have inexplicable fun!

Check out my new toy—or should I say, my new surf vehicle!  Rob got me this mat for my birthday, and I am pretty sure I have never had as much fun in the water as I am having with this.

In between the upcoming holidays I will brave the frigid water temps and go cruise around on this thing. I am hoping to shoot some video on it too, as it is goes way to fast to use my fully manual film camera.

 

I usually reserve my long board for those days with mellow, “maggie size” waves, my body surfing for when it is much bigger and now, this mat will fill in any and all other waves
