  • Sea cravings

    Sea cravings

I am now just over 18 weeks along and getting into the rhythm of being pregnant. After a few weeks of intense nausea and frequent vomiting, I am finally feeling better and – without a doubt – have got my appetite back :)I haven’t had the stereotypical cravings of pickles & ice cream, but my sweet-tooth is lever-present in the food cravings department. Another thing I am craving is getting back in the water….the salt water.

    I am craving the sea...

  • Small thoughts….

    Small thoughts….

It’s summer here and the waves have been small.

The small waves are perfect for the small surfers or “Groms” as they are affectionately called…

If there is no swell and it’s not “going off” small waves are still fun for long boarding, riding mats or paipos. I spotted this Wegener paipo at Beacons last week…

And speaking of paipos, this event looks fun :) Waves or no waves, I am enjoying the ocean. It’s summer and it may...

  • Adventure: Catalina Island

    Adventure: Catalina Island

We recently went on a trip to Catalina Island, off the coast of California. My parents were coming for a quick visit in celebration of my father’s Birthday. They have been to California so many times that they had seen it all and done it all. Catalina Island has been on my “Go see” list for a while and I felt this was the perfect excuse to check it off my list. My dad had been there maybe 30 years ago, and my Mother, Rob nor myself had ever been...

    Finally…..It’s Here!!!!!!

Oh man, I have almost been busting at the seams trying to contain my excitement for the release of my new art piece at Urban Outfitters!

Here is a picture of my stitched collagecommissionedby Urban Outfitters. The pieces are all from photos I have taken, all of which were shot on film. I pieced it...

  • Monday Mash-Up: Swell

    Monday Mash-Up: Swell

I am making a new attempt at a weekly post called Monday Mash-Up. These posts will be made up of a mash-up of either: different subjects, diferent film types, or a mix of film and digital.

This first post is comprised of shots from the January 6th winter swell here in San Diego. I prefer not to shoot in the middle of the day but it was crucial that someone get in the water and get in on the swell with the rest of the local surf community :) I shot some digital as well,...

    ….and a Happy New Year

I’m so excited for 2012– it’s going to be a BIG year!Big changes, big adventures and over all, big fun. I’ll be pursuing more Wedding and Portrait work and I’m real excited about a new direction for my art and endless list of art ideas.

I plan on spending less time in front of my computer and more time behind my cameras. I had my first great mat session in the water today and am eager to spend more time in the water this year.

    There...
