So Knost and I got back from Japan for the premiering of POLYESTER and Happy Beach couple weeks ago. Here is some of the photos from that trip.We visited Shonan, Tokyo, Osaka, and the Miyasaki in the south for a magazine trip with RVCA Japan. It was a cultural shock to see how these wonderful people live and go about their lives.

Some of the shots were used with a disposible camera and I was shooting them as i passed by, it was really funny. They are so non threatening and i feel like if i did this in many other countries i would be in for some serious consiquenses, but the Japanese are really subdued so it was  okay so Knost and I were just going to town taking shots on the streets.

We didnt score waves but the potential and enthusiasm for surf is of the charts for the southern part of Japan, right now a typhoon is blasting the coast at 10feet, kinda has a feel of Hawaii, great climate and super country. Get all of my super8 film footage back as well, as i continue to work on my travel documentary through southeast asia and beyond.
